Meet Attorney Michael J. Shew
Though our paths into law are quite different, as children we grew up on the same street. It is our real-life experience that makes us the attorneys we are today.

I think of myself as a settlement-oriented trial attorney who is efficient, fair and strongly client focused. I am a fourth-generation Arizonian. My parents divorced when I was young, and I was a single father throughout law school. I have been married and divorced, and have strong relationships with my children and stepchildren. Real life has taught me just as much as law school.

The following is an example of why I love my work as a strong advocate for my clients' needs. One of my clients, John, had a son out of wedlock with an illegal alien who did not support, in any way, John's relationship with his son. Over the years, she did a number of crazy things, always accusing him of something as a way to keep custody away from him. Finally, John's claim to custody came down to a court proceeding and, in five minutes on the phone, I got John sole custody. That was a big win for all of us. Ten years later, John came back to me for a different legal issue. He walked in the door and I knew him immediately. After a decade, he still trusted in me to handle things for him. I am very proud of the relationships I build with my clients.
An interesting note about our law firm is that Jill and I grew up on the same block together as children. My mom and her dad still live in the same houses. In fact, Jill's brother was my best friend growing up.

Keonna Woodfolk
Keonna has been with the firm since 2004. She began working at the firm as a receptionist and has diligently worked her way up to her current position as Paralegal. Keonna is attending Arizona State University and will obtain a degree in business management. She is happily married to Christopher Alexander and they have two children. Keonna volunteers her free time coaching Pop Warner Cheer in Phoenix, Arizona. Keonna is a loyal and integral part of our team.
Allison Cho
Allison has been with the firm since 2009. Allison graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona Sate University in 2008 with a degree in Public Relations and Gender Studies. She is planning on applying to law school in the future. Allison is our receptionist and some of her responsibilities include scheduling appointments, handling calls, mail and assisting the support staff.
